SMTS releasing show report for 2018 and now accepting applications for 2019 edition

Tokyo, Japan --( ASIA TODAY )-- Supermarket Trade Show offers the latest information to food distribution industry focus on supermarkets. It gives you the opportunity to meet leaders from the retail, wholesale, ready meal and food service industry, and to bring partnership potential, networking and sharing-trend for your new business chances.

The New Supermarket Association of Japan (NSAJ ) has announced the “53rd Supermarket Trade Show 2019” which will be held from February 13 (Wed.) to 15 (Fri.), 2019.

The registration deadline will be August 15th, but, it will be closed as soon as the capacity is reached. The Show Report for “52nd Supermarket Trade Show 2018” is disclosed on the official website (

*Since 2016, Supermarket Trade Show has been held with other 3 trade shows, retails, ready meals, and the food service industry under the comprehensive name, “FOOD TABLE in JAPAN”.

  • Duration: February 13th (Wednesday) to 15th (Friday), 2019 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. *The last day will close at 4:00 p.m.
  • Venue: Makuhari Messe (Using all facilities 72,000 sqm with other 3 exhibitions)

  • Admission: JPY5,000 *Only charged to visitors without an invitation ticket. Only Industry participant and those over 18 years old are permitted.

    Organizer’s Theme Zone

    Special Theme Zone for Unique Overseas Food Products (Image)

    Foods that are usual and common in your country may be perceived as peculiar in Japan.

    In SMTS2019, we will set up a theme zone “Overseas foods to Japanese table” where we present several recipes using unfamiliar overseas food products in order to create additional demands from retailers who are willing to introduce new items. A chef makes exhibitor’s product and turns it into Japanese daily dish and serve these samples during the show.
