PCHi 2019 Poised to be Largest Edition Ever

Beijing, 3 October 2018 --( ASIA TODAY )-- Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) — China’s choice sourcing platform for the global personal care industry — will return to the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre from 26 – 28 February 2019. Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) today announces that more than 90% of the booths at PCHi 2019 have been sold. The 2019 edition will cover a total exhibiting area of 40,000 sqm — making this the trade event’s largest edition yet.

During the three-day event, visitors can expect to view an extensive range of cosmetics ingredients and leading-edge technologies from a total of more than 600 exhibitors hailing from nearly 30 countries and regions — nearly 40% of which are international companies participating to increase their presence in the China market. This includes global industry players like BASF, Croda, and DSM.

According to the China Association of Fragrance Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), the market size for cosmetics and personal care in China has grown from RMB 350 million in 1980 to RMB 319 billion in 2017 — making China the second largest market for cosmetics in the world. As China continues to enjoy rapid economic growth, disposable income levels as well as consumption levels continue to rise. With increasing numbers of next generation Chinese consumers, cosmetics and personal care products have gradually become a necessity, highlighting a shift and evolution in the social concept and consumer culture of the nation.

PCHi 2019 will open its doors to international exhibitors and visitors from close to 60 countries and territories around the world. Trade visitors can look forward to meeting more than 200 overseas exhibitors across the 8 country pavilions at PCHi 2019. In addition, attendees can also explore new business opportunities with more first-time exhibitors at the event, with new exhibitors making up almost 20% of the participating companies.
