The 19th International Conference & Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG2019) is presented by the International Gas Union (IGU), Gas Technology Institute (GTI) and the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) - the only LNG event owned by the industry, run for the industry. The theme of LNG2019 is “LNG for a Sustainable Energy Future”.

The 2019 edition will be the biggest LNG event ever held in China, the world’s fastest growing LNG market. China overtook South Korea as the world’s second-largest LNG importer in 2017 with imports of 38 million tonnes, 46 percent higher than the previous year. Asia has been the focus of the industry’s greatest investments in LNG import and export infrastructure in recent years and China now has 21 LNG receiving terminals, providing the perfect backdrop to LNG2019.

LNG2019 Programme Committee Chairman Dr Nirmal Chatterjee comments: “The LNG X series of events stand out from all other natural gas related conferences due to the depth and breadth of the commercial and technical contents of its sessions. In the commercial area we delve deeper into the financial and regulatory aspects of market and project development, very specific new markets and opportunities, and, above all how emerging markets and opportunities in China and Asia are changing the very nature of financial and project structuring. The technical sessions show how we are making the industry safer, more reliable, more environmentally sustainable, more innovative and more cost efficient. The presenters all are experts in their own field and we have been delighted with both the quality and quantity of abstract submissions for the 2019 edition.”

The Plenary Programme now features over 25 leaders of the LNG industry, including CEOs of both Chinese and international companies such as CNPC, Beijing Gas, Chevron, KOGAS, Total, Gazprom, Cheniere Energy, Petronas and many more. These high-level, globally relevant sessions will focus on the future of LNG across topics including ‘The Global Outlook for LNG’, ‘A Sustainable Fuel for a Sustainable Future’, ‘The Changing Map of Supply’ and ‘Opportunities in the China LNG Market’.

Following a successful Call for Abstracts, the remainder of the programme has now been confirmed in a mixture of commercial and technical Paper Sessions, LNG Forums and the Research & Innovation Showcase.

The LNG Forums consist of panellists exploring the challenges and potential of specific areas of the LNG industry. These highly topical discussions will look at LNG within the global energy transition, technical innovations, what the industry has learnt from floating LNG and the diversity of LNG plant capacities.

LNG2019 delegates can look forward to commercial and technical sessions covering topics including:
• LNG Market Growth & Industry Sustainability
• Drivers for Demand Creation Across the World
• Linking the Value Chain for Financeability
• LNG Infrastructure Projects: Cases & Trends
• Commercial Evolution & the Changing Industry Dynamic
• Digital & Sustainable Future
• Shipping & Floating LNG
• New Technical Applications in Asia Pacific
• New Designs and Technology for Projects

These sessions feature senior speakers from companies such as ExxonMobil, Institute of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ), Petronas, TechnipFMC, Shell and CNOOC to name just a few. The full LNG2019 programme and confirmed speakers can now be viewed on the event website including information on training courses and the unique Technical Tours of Shenergy’s gas facilities also available to conference delegates.

Early Bird Delegate Registration is now open – book before 2 November 2018 to save $445. Visit www.lng2019.com/registration.
